At most other dental offices, when you have your mouth examined, they just shine a bright light into your eyes and use a handheld mirror, but we like to take a more sophisticated approach here at Real Dental. Using a pen-sized camera, we can take highly-detailed images of your teeth and gums that we can display on a large monitor right in the treatment room. This makes it easy for our team to spot the smallest signs of decay or infection, plus this will allow you to better understand your oral health and treatment options.
We use X-rays every single day in our dental office to help us look at the teeth below the gum line, and thanks to all-digital X-rays, this part of our diagnostic process is now faster and safer than ever! Compared to traditional film X-rays, digital X-rays are much sharper, take only seconds to develop, and they emit 90% LESS radiation as well. We can even show you your own X-rays seconds after capturing them, zooming in and color coding the images so you can understand what you’re seeing and be on the same page as your dentist.
